Pool Problems

I’ve been fighting my 24′ round above ground pool all summer.  It was really green when we finally got the filter hooked up.  Usually I can get that under control in a few days, a week at most.  But this is the first year I opened up my NEW pool, which has a cartridge filter and apparently there are some differences.

Paper filters are supposed to filter better, down to the tiniest of microns.  And last year that seemed to be the case.  We had crystal clear water and I only had to clean the filter a few times during the swim season.  Not this year!

I just seem to be getting the green under control and it blossoms out of control again.  The green particles are so fine they don’t even pick up with the bug catching screen.  I’ve contacted numerous pool water specialists at a few different stores, to no avail.  We’ve installed a diverter valve so we can vacuum to waste and I’ve used shock, algae fighter, clarifier, and flocculant.  None of it seems to help my floccing pool!!!!
